The United States voted to veto a resolution to grant Palestine full membership of the United Nations

The United States, which is the main supporter of the Zionist regime of Israel, has continued its policy of undermining the rights of the Palestinians by abusing its right of veto and obstructing the resolution to grant Palestine full membership in the United Nations.

According to AP News, Algeria submitted to the Security Council, a draft resolution for Palestine's full membership in the United Nations, and the council meeting to vote on the resolution was held on Thursday evening at New York time.

In the voting, 12 member countries of the UN Security Council voted in favor, Switzerland and Great Britain voted not to oppose or support any side; and the United States prevented the adoption of the resolution by vetoing it.

With its current action to veto the resolution to grant Palestine full membership in the United Nations, once again the United States has shown that its claims that it supports Palestine and its oppressed people are nothing more than empty words and it is not even ready to vote support the full membership of Palestine in the United Nations.

Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Vassily Nebenzia, has given a response to the United States' decision to use its veto to oppose the full membership of Palestine in the United Nations and said that the United States' goal is to break the will of the Palestinians and expel them from their land.

Currently, Palestine is a permanent observer at the United Nations. In 2011, the oppressed nation applied for permanent membership in the union.
