The US ready to train the Ukrainians to use the F-16
Joe Biden briefed G7 leaders on Friday that the US will support a joint effort with allies and partners to train Ukrainian pilots on fourth-generation aircraft, including F-16s. A senior administration official told CNN, adding that the training should not take place in the United States and will probably take place entirely in Europe. American personnel will participate in the training alongside allies and partners in Europe. It is expected to take several months to complete. "As the training takes place over the next few months, our coalition of countries participating in this effort will decide when we actually supply the jets, how many we will supply and who will supply them," the official said.
