Transfer of new US military package to Ukraine

The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced the allocation of a new package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of about one billion dollars.

"The Department of Defense announced a significant new security assistance package designed to provide Ukraine with the tools it needs to win," the Pentagon said in a statement on its website.

According to the statement, the so-called Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative will provide Kyiv with HIMARS multiple launch rocket system ammunition, unmanned aerial vehicles, equipment, components, and spare parts for the maintenance and repair of artillery systems, tanks, and armored vehicles.
