Trump reiterates call to turn Canada into the 51st state and seize Greenland and the Panama Canal

US President Donald Trump has reiterated his intention to merge Canada with the United States and make it the country's 51st state, as well as his ambition to seize Greenland and the Panama Canal.

Speaking at the Republican Governors' Association dinner in Washington, DC, Trump said Canada would have to pay tariffs on cars, lumber and oil and gas, while importing 95% of its goods from the United States, adding: "I think they should be the 51st state."

The US President has addressed what happened at an international basketball game played in Montreal, Canada, where Canadians booed when the US national anthem was played before the match, and said: "I think 'finally' they will be praising the (US) national anthem."

Trump has stated that they will have to reach an agreement with Canada because he loves 'O Canada', referring to the country's national anthem and explaining that it will continue to be played when the country becomes the 51st state of the United States.

In addition, he has again called Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau "the governor," and explained that he is doing a "good job."

Trump has also stated that they are continuing to look at Greenland and will have to return the Panama Canal to their hands.

In his speech, the US president, who has been accused by some medical experts of being mentally ill, stated that Panama is one of the great wonders of the world and added: "We built it, and because China has basically taken it over, we will not allow that to happen. China knows that and so does Panama."

Trump also claimed that the BRICS countries had "disconnected" just days after warning them that he would impose a 150% tariff on them if they tried to create a new currency to replace the US dollar.../
