UN: Forcibly evacuating civilians in northern Gaza is a war crime
The United Nations Human Rights Commissioner has warned the Zionist regime of Israel that any act of forcibly evacuating many civilians in the north of the Gaza Strip is a war crime.
The AP news agency has reported that, Volker Turk said at the headquarters of the union in New York that, while the attacks of the Israeli army continue, there is great concern about the forced displacement of Palestinian citizens; a process that does not meet the essential criteria required in accordance with international laws for the evacuation of civilians based on a military emergency.
The UN Human Rights Commissioner has called on Israel to immediately allow the deployment of large-scale humanitarian aid needed in all areas of Gaza.
The Prime Minister of the Zionist regime of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu is preventing humanitarian aid from being sent to the northern Gaza Strip, and the military officials of that regime have angrily suggested that the Palestinians remaining in the northern Gaza Strip should be recognized as "soldiers" and that they should be killed by food deprivation.
If the strategy is implemented, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who do not want or have been unable to leave their homes in the north of the Gaza Strip will be surrounded by the Israeli army.
Last Saturday the soldiers of the Israeli regime issued a new order to evacuate the Palestinian citizens who still live in the north of Gaza; however, many residents of the area say that the war and gunfire have made them unable to leave.
The United Nations has announced that all countries and international organizations have the responsibility to end the illegal presence of Israel in the occupied Palestinian lands (Israel).
Since the 7th of October 2023, the Zionist regime launched a very destructive war against the residents of the Gaza Strip, a war that has caused disaster, destruction and severe hunger and led to thousands of Palestinians, most of whom are women and children, martyred and injured.
Navi Pillay, Head of the United Nations Human Rights Commission, last Friday, asked all countries to fully implement the resolution of the General Assembly of the United Nations which was approved on September 13, this year, and emphasized: "All countries have the responsibility to stop the illegal occupation and try to fully guarantee the Palestinian people's right to self-determination in accordance with international law.
Pointing to the wrong actions of Israel's brutal regime and its violation of international law in the Gaza Strip, the head of the Human Rights Council added that all countries have a duty not to officially recognize the Israeli regime's claims regarding land or its authority over of the lands they occupy and oppose its actions that violate international law.
Navi Pillay has called for the suspension of financial, military and political aid or the support of some countries to Israel and emphasized that the support and assistance to the Zionist regime helps to continue occupying Palestine.
On September 17, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution in its 10th emergency meeting where it wanted to end the occupation of Palestinian lands by the aggressive Israeli regime within one year.
By humiliating the international community and ignoring the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council to immediately end the war and the orders of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on the necessity of preventing genocide and improving the human condition in Gaza, Tel Aviv is still continues its barbaric crimes in Gaza.
