UN Reacts to Killing of Afghan Shiites

the United Nations office in Afghanistan (UNAMA) announced in a statement on Monday (04/12/2023) that last month, Afghanistan witnessed an increase in violence against the Shiite community in Kabul, Baghlan and Herat. Baghlan area, Afghanistan UNAMA has said,  They sympathize with the victims and call for investigations, accountability (to the victims of these attacks) and increased support for those at risk. Dozens of people were killed or injured in terrorist attacks on Shia prayer congregations in Baghlan, city transport minibuses in Kabul, and targeted attacks in Herat. The five people who were martyred in the attack in the city of Herat were clerics and members of the Shiite Ulema Council in Herat. Terrorist Bomb Explosion at Shia Mosque in Baghlan Afghanistan Political figures and the Afghan Ministry of Interior and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Afghanistan condemned the attack.(sl)
