UN spokesman: Israeli actions are the barbarity of the century
The UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territory has called the crimes committed by the Zionist regime against Palestinians the barbarity of the century.
Francesca Albanese said that Israel does not value the lives of Gazans under the pretext of destroying Hamas. According to Al-Mayadeen news agency, she said: “Israel killed more than 20,000 people in the Gaza Strip under the pretext of destroying Hamas. Why does Israel not pay attention to the lives of Palestinians?” The UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territory described the actions and behavior of the Zionist regime towards the Palestinians, especially in Gaza, as the barbarity of the century and, addressing Western countries, said: “The silence of the West regarding what is happening to the Palestinians has reached stages of complicity [with Israel]." According to Albanese, drug shortages have led to the amputation of many injured children in Gaza, and the Zionist regime does not allow enough drugs and anesthetics to be imported into Gaza. In this regard, senior scholars of the Al-Azhar Institute in Egypt also emphasized in their statement that the killings in the Gaza Strip are a stain on the forehead of all financial and weapons sponsors of the Zionist regime, and the history of these countries will not be forgotten. According to the latest statistics from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, since October 7, attacks by the Zionist regime in Gaza have killed 21,320 people and injured 55,603 people, more than 70% of them women and children.
