US Media: Washington asks Israel not to respond to Yemeni attacks
The United States newspaper, claims Washington, asked Israel not to retaliate against Yemen's missile and drone attacks, and let US troops take action with its fleet.
The Wall Street Journal, Thursday (7/12/2023) reported that the US asked Israel not to respond to Yemen's Ansarullah missile and drone attacks, and let US troops take action. A number of US officials, quoted by WSJ, said that Washington was concerned that Israel's response to Yemen could expand the current war in Gaza. The White House explained that this country had stationed a fleet of warships in the area and shot down several missiles fired at Israel. This was conveyed by the US government, even though Politico previously reported that the US Military did not want to be involved in an armed confrontation with Yemen.
