US official refutes Biden's statement about Hamas
Following US President Joe Biden's statement accusing Hamas of crimes in the current war against the Israeli regime, a US government spokesman denied the claim and said Biden's statement was based on statements by Israeli officials. According to AB news agency, 80-year-old US President Joe Biden, at a meeting with the heads of Jewish communities in the US regarding events in the occupied Palestinian territories, repeated accusations of the authorities and media of the Israeli regime and said: “I never imagined that I would see something like the images beheadings of children by terrorists.” Following Biden's statements, a US government official explained to US media on Wednesday evening that Biden's remarks about alleged crimes related to the Hamas attack were based on statements by Israeli officials. This US government official said: "Neither Biden nor any official has seen confirmed images or reports of Hamas beheadings of children."
