Antony Blinken, Monday (23/10/2023) said that if US troops, in the war between Israel and Hamas, were attacked, then retaliation would be carried out to protect US troops in the region. In an interview with NBC News television station, Blinken claimed that the war would likely become fiercer with the involvement of Iranian proxy forces in the West Asia region. He added, "US President Joe Biden's government, in this case, has full readiness to support US troops, in the Middle East." The US Secretary of State explained, "We will undertake a series of efforts until we are confident that we have the ability to act effectively, and protect our citizens, and if necessary provide a firm response to these attacks."

Blinken also announced the deployment of US military equipment in the Middle East region, including two combat aircraft carrier units. The US Secretary of State said he had spoken with officials of the Zionist regime, and Tel Aviv admitted that it would not occupy Gaza after the war, but Israel believed that after the war the previous conditions would not recover. Antony Blinken believes that there must be a guarantee that Hamas will not carry out similar attacks in the future. Yet for 75 years the Palestinian people have been under the most brutal occupation, colonization, blockade and aggression carried out by the Zionist Regime.
