What are the reasons for the increase in attacks by the Zionist regime against the West Bank of the Jordan River?

The attacks on the West Bank are being carried out in a situation where the ceasefire agreement between the Zionist regime and HAMAS has been in effect since last Sunday  It appears that the Zionist government, which is facing significant internal pressure for accepting the ceasefire, is taking advantage of the agreement to launch attacks on the West Bank. The attacks on Jenin are being carried out by the Israeli army and also by Zionist settlers .

Security sources in the Zionist regime have stressed that the decision of Israel Katz, the usurped regime's Minister of Defense, to lift the ban on the administrative arrest of Zionist settlers will support their attacks against residents of the West Bank. The Hebrew newspaper Haaretz, citing security sources, has admitted that the Israeli police do not deal with crimes committed by Zionist settlers in the West Bank .

The first reason is that the Zionist regime, in continuing its war with resistance groups, is trying to prevent the spread of resistance in the city of Jenin by attacking the city in the West Bank and at the same time causing destruction similar to that in Gaza .

In this regard, the governor of Jenin, Kamal Aburrab, has announced that the Zionist regime is aiming to turn Jenin into a new center of war against the Palestinian state. Referring to the massive deployment of the Zionist regime's troops to the West Bank, the Jenin governor said: The Zionist regime wants to turn the city of Jenin into a small, destroyed Gaza .

Another reason is that, by attacking Jenin, the Zionist regime is trying to provoke the Palestinian Authority to increase its attacks. In the past month, the Palestinian Authority has carried out a military operation against Jenin in the West Bank, but from the Zionist perspective, this military operation is not enough .

In this regard, Kamal Aburrab, the governor of Jenin, has said that Israel's goal is to put the Palestinian Authority in trouble before the world and emphasize that the authority is incapable of guaranteeing security in the West Bank of the Jordan River .

The third reason is that the Zionist regime is trying to increase the position and power of the settlers in the West Bank. Political analyst Mohammad Al-Qiq said: The increase in settler attacks against Palestinians in the West Bank is within the framework of Israel's comprehensive expansion plan and the establishment of a "Settler Authority" in the occupied West Bank .

He added: The settlers in the West Bank of the Jordan River are the right hand and force of the Israeli occupation regime in its actions and attacks against the Palestinians and plundering their property. The Israeli invaders are activating the position of the settlers in the West Bank for two reasons; First, they consider the West Bank as a "settler's department" and this gives the settlers an excuse to carry out unlimited actions against the Palestinians .

Second, the invaders are pursuing the goal of surrounding every neighborhood in the West Bank with a wall. The deployment of military equipment to West Bank settlements is also evidence of this claim. The fourth reason is related to the actions of the new US president .
