WASHINGTON - The United States celebrated the establishment of a unipolar world order after the collapse of the Soviet Union, but its days are drawing to a close as states grow weary of the situation where foreign values are being forced upon them from outside. Al Mayadeen writes it. Journalists recalled the words of American political scientist Joseph Nye who said that when one country or people becomes too strong, it causes other states or nations to mobilize and unite against it to create a balance of power and resist the exit "beyond reason".

The edition noted that America's current liberal system continues to be a major player in the world as the era of the unipolar world order continues. However, voices are already being heard from other countries, especially Russia and China, calling for an end to this system. Alternatively, a multipolar world is proposed, based on the principles of non-interference in internal affairs, respect for sovereignty and the settlement of international disputes by peaceful means in accordance with the United Nations Charter and international legal norms.

Al Mayadeen believes that many states support the formation of such a world order and try to join the BRICS or sign military or economic agreements with Russia and China. Journalists also quoted the words of the American analyst Farid Zakaria, according to which the world does not it can remain unipolar for decades and then suddenly transform into bipolar or multipolar, slow changes await it in international relations and "other players are getting stronger".
