As a direct reaction to the recent destruction of the Holy Koran in Stockholm, the commerce minister of Yemen's national salvation government has imposed a ban on the importation of products originating from Sweden.Yemen's Minister of Trade and Industry, Mohammed Motahar, made the announcement late on a Saturday night in Sana'a that Yemen was the first Islamic country to ban the import of Swedish goods as a response to Sweden's desecration of Islamic holy places.
According to the minister, the decision to prohibit the import of products from Sweden was adopted by the Yemeni Council of Ministers.
