Yemeni Ansarullah Leader Criticizes Western Hypocrisy Over Palestinian Genocide

In a recent speech, Abdul-Malik Badruldeen al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen's Ansarullah movement, condemned Israel's actions in Gaza, describing them as war crimes supported by the United States. Al-Houthi criticized US President Joe Biden for his statement that Israel's actions in Gaza did not constitute genocide. He highlighted the atrocities faced by Palestinians, such as street killings, targeting civilian gatherings, starving populations, and crippling the health system by restricting medical supplies.

Al-Houthi argued that Biden's refusal to label these actions as genocide was unsurprising given America's history of evil. He also criticized the US plan to build a temporary port in Gaza, suggesting it was a guise for a military base, further turning Gaza into a monitored prison.

He praised Ireland, Norway, and Spain for recognizing Palestinian independence, albeit partially, as a significant political move. Al-Houthi accused Western countries of hypocrisy, noting that they advocate for animal rights while being complicit in crimes against humanity in Palestine. He questioned the fairness of the International Criminal Court (ICC) Attorney General's stance, which he saw as equating the oppressors with the oppressed.

Al-Houthi also expressed solidarity with Iran over the martyrdom of its president, praising President Raisi for his positive relationship with the Iranian people, evidenced by the massive turnout at his funeral.

Furthermore, Al-Houthi highlighted Yemen's continued support for Palestine through maritime operations targeting Zionist ships. He detailed recent military actions, including missile and drone strikes in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, Gulf of Aden, and Indian Ocean, claiming the targeting of 119 ships belonging to Israel, the US, and the UK. He reiterated Yemen's unwavering support for Palestine and its ongoing military efforts against Israeli interests.
