Yemeni Army Resolves to Target Ships Connected to Israel in Regional Waters

According to a recent statement made by a Yemeni Army spokesman, strikes on all vessels connected to Israel would continue on waters close to Yemen. Declaring on Sunday, Brigadier General Yahya Saree underlined that regardless of their flags or owners, the Yemeni troops would target ships having Israeli connections. This posture, he said, captures Yemen's ongoing dedication to imposing sanctions on organizations having ties to Israel.
General Saree clarified that certain shipping firms have been trying to evade Yemeni restrictions by selling shares or renaming their ships under different names or nationalities. He cautioned, meanwhile, that Yemen's defense forces still keep alert and unaffected by such strategies, therefore reinforcing their aim to destroy all vessels connected to Israel.
The general underlined that changes in ownership and registration of vessels are among the main ways Israeli-linked businesses show continuous attempts to evade these fines by means of intelligence sources. General Saree said Yemen will keep its limits and military response despite these movements until Israel stops operations in Gaza and Lebanon, territories touched by recent conflicts.
Yemen's defense forces assert to have conducted several missile attacks aiming against vessels and interests linked with Israel in the area since October 2023. Aiming to encourage Israel to change its policies and conduct in Palestine and Lebanon, General Saree further mentioned the operations have resulted in significant losses.
