Yemeni Forces Launch Successful Operations Against Ships in Red and Mediterranean Seas
Yemeni forces have successfully carried out several new operations against ships escorted by US submarines in the Red and Mediterranean seas.
In a series of coordinated strikes, Yemeni forces have successfully targeted several ships in the Red Sea and Mediterranean Sea, according to a statement from Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni army. The operations, involving naval forces, drones, and missiles, were aimed at six ships that allegedly violated laws prohibiting entry into ports in occupied Palestine.
Saree detailed that these large-scale operations were conducted to support the Palestinian cause and to address alleged crimes by the Zionist regime against Palestinian refugees in the Rafah area. Specific targets included the "LAAX" ship in the Red Sea and the "MOREA" and "Sealady" ships, which were struck by ballistic missiles and drone attacks. Additionally, the American ships "ALBA", "Maersk HARTFORD", and "MINERVA ANTONIA" were hit by cruise missiles in the Mediterranean Sea.
The Central Command (CENTCOM) of the United States also reported that Yemeni forces launched five ballistic missiles towards the Red Sea. Despite claims from U.S. leaders that these ships were engaged in legitimate commercial activities, Yemeni officials insist they were transporting weapons to Israel, contributing to regional instability.
The operations come amid increasing efforts by the United States and Western allies to support Israel through the Red Sea route, particularly following recent defeats of the Zionist army by resistance forces. Yemeni attacks over the past months have targeted vessels bound for Israeli ports, aiming to disrupt these supply lines.
Yemeni forces have vowed to continue these strikes until the cessation of Israeli actions against Palestinians in Gaza. The strategic importance of the Red Sea, bordered by Asia and Africa and connected to the Mediterranean via the Suez Canal, underscores the significance of these operations in regional geopolitics.
These recent actions by Yemeni forces highlight their capability to counter foreign interference and challenge regional power dynamics. Despite substantial investments in modern military technology, U.S. forces have been unable to prevent these Yemeni operations, exposing vulnerabilities in their strategic deployments.
The Yemeni offensive is part of a broader response from regional resistance groups, including forces from Iraq, Lebanon, and Palestinian liberation fighters. This coordinated resistance has been escalating since the "Al-Aqsa Cyclone" operation, demonstrating significant tactical and strategic gains against Israeli and allied forces.
