Zionist regime prevents foreign journalists from entering Gaza
GAZA-The Israeli occupation authorities have barred foreign journalists from entering Gaza since the offensive began on Tuesday night. In a press release, the head of the Government Media Office (GMO) in Gaza, Salameh Maarouf, said: “The Israeli occupation has closed the Beit Hanun crossing and prevented foreign media crews from entering the Strip. to cover his offensive.”
Maarouf called on the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) and all other bodies concerned with freedom of the press and of expression to take practical measures against the Israeli occupation, so as to lift its restrictions on the entry of news crews. He considered the Israeli ban on the entry of the foreign press as a "violation of the freedom of journalists to carry out their work, as well as a violation of their right to free movement". At the same time, he stressed that the Israeli occupation bans foreign journalists from entering Gaza during any offensive it carries out against the besieged coastal enclave.
