According to the AP news agency, Abu Obeidah, the spokesman for the Ezzedin al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced in a video file that Palestinian fighters captured a number of Israeli soldiers in a successful ambush.

Abu Obeidah said that on Saturday afternoon in the Jabalia camp, Palestinian fighters lured a number of Israeli soldiers into one of the tunnels, where they killed and wounded a number of them and took several others captive.

The al-Qassam Brigades spokesman stated that "the enemy continues his blind and futile policy of revenge and destruction, moving from one failure to another and seeking empty and futile achievements to justify his killings against our nation."

Abu Obeidah stressed that at the same time, the brave Palestinian fighters are teaching an unforgettable lesson to the Zionist occupiers on all axes of the battle in the Gaza Strip and are defending their land, home and homeland.

After the announcement of the capture of Zionist soldiers in Gaza by al-Qassam Brigades fighters, people in the cities of Dora and Sur and Palestinian camps (in Lebanon) as well as in the West Bank took to the streets and showed their joy.

Also, in the West Bank, loudspeakers of mosques, through loud takbirs, are asking people to go out into the streets.

Likewise, the sound of takbeer is also heard from the loudspeakers of Masjid Al-Dahiyeh (Mosque of the Suburbs) in the south of Beirut.

Although the Israeli army, as in the past, quickly denied this incident, the "Ezzeddin al-Qassam Brigades" unit also displayed the equipment captured by the Israeli soldiers by publishing the video of its operation
