The uMkhonto weSizwe party in South Africa has said that the country's former leader, Jacob Zuma, will involve his team of lawyers to defend him following the action of the ruling ANC party to expel him from the party after one of the country's media published a leaked document.
The document has explained that the National Disciplinary Committee of the ANC party has found Zuma guilty of affecting the integrity of the party after cooperating with the opposition party MK.
Zuma has been sentenced after a disciplinary hearing last week. The spokesperson of the MK opposition party, Nhalamulo Ndhlela has said that they will not stay silent and watch what he called injustice by their leader.
The MK opposition party has added that it is shocked and saddened by the leak of the results issued by the National Disciplinary Committee, which has recommended that Zuma be expelled from the ruling ANC party.
At the same time, the party has emphasized that it was never officially informed about the expulsion from the party of Jacob Zuma, the former president of South Africa.
Zuma has 21 days to appeal against the ANC's decision.
