80 al-Shabaab terrorists are destroyed by the Somali army

This has been reported by the Ministry of Information of Somalia which has stated that the Somali National Army (SNA) in cooperation with the regional forces of the Jubaland state earlier today Monday has succeeded in shutting down the operations of al-Shabaab in three battlefields in the West and South of Kismayo, the administrative headquarters of Jubaland.

It is reported that, earlier today, members of al-Shabaab attacked the area of Harbole near the village of Mido, west of Kismayo, which was captured by al-Shabaab 12 days ago. However, Somali soldiers have managed to regain control of the area after defeating al-Shabaab fighters.

Likewise, the terrorist gang has received heavy blows earlier today also from the Somali National Army (SNA) and Jubaland state forces, in the town of Bula Haji, about 90 kilometers south of Kismayo.

The al-Shabaab terrorist group seems to have reduced its attacks since the President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, declared an "all-out war" against the group.

The campaign seems to have been so successful that, currently, the African Union Transitional Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) is continuing the process of withdrawing its soldiers from the country in order to hand over all security issues to the Somali government forces.
