A constructive partner: Russian Foreign Ministry on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the EAEU

The EAEU has demonstrated itself on the global stage as a constructively-minded partner interested in dialogue based on mutual respect and compliance with international law.

This was stated in a statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the entry into force of the Treaty on the EAEU and the start of the actual activities of the union.

"Thanks to the measures taken by the Association, the markets of the EAEU countries are provided with necessary goods, citizens of the union can travel, work and receive social security in any of the "five" countries. Favorable conditions have been created for companies to conduct foreign economic activities," the statement says.

It is emphasized that cooperation with member states, including observer states ( Uzbekistan, Cuba and Iran), has increased , as well as a number of trade agreements and more than 80 memorandums of cooperation have been signed with Vietnam, Serbia, Iran and China through the EEC .

The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is an international organization for regional economic integration, established by the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union. The member states of the Eurasian Economic Union are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia.
