The Palestinian teenager was shot and killed during an Israeli military raid in the occupied West Bank. Health authorities in the area reported another victim, a 17-year-old Palestinian who died on Tuesday, August 22, of wounds sustained during an attack by Israeli occupation forces southeast of the occupied West Bank city of Jenin. The official Palestinian news agency WAFA quoted Fawaz Hamad, director of al-Razi hospital in Jenin, as saying that Othman Atef Abu Kharj died after suffering serious injuries in clashes that erupted during the Israeli army raid on al-Zababdeh village.

He was shot in the head and died at al-Razi hospital in the northern West Bank city of Jenin, the health ministry said. The development comes a week after two young Palestinians were killed and several more injured when Israeli military forces stormed a refugee camp in the eastern West Bank. Palestinian news agency Shehab, citing local sources, reported at the time that large numbers of Israeli soldiers, aboard dozens of military vehicles, had stormed the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp, located three kilometers south of -west of Ariha, in the early hours of 15 August. The raids resulted in armed clashes with local resistance fighters.
