Azerbaijan is counting on help from Turkey
Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan Zakir Hasanov on an official visit to Azerbaijan met with the delegation led by the Chairman of the Defense Industry Committee of the Turkish President's Office, Haluk Gyorgun.
As APA reports with reference to the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, Hasanov expressed confidence that the joint production projects implemented between Azerbaijan and Turkey will further increase the defense capability of the armies of the "two brotherly countries". In turn, H. Gyorgun particularly emphasized that "sincere relations between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey have a positive effect on military cooperation, as well as other spheres."
At the meeting with the participation of the heads of the leading military industrial companies of Turkey, the prospects for the development of bilateral military and military-technical cooperation were discussed, a thorough exchange of ideas took place on a number of issues of mutual interest, reports the media.
In a separate combined army (Nakhijevan), tactical and special military exercises are held under the theme "Combat operations in severe frost".
As APA reports, with reference to the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, during the tactical operations, the special forces carried out the task of attacking positions, penetrating the rear of the false enemy under the cover of darkness.
"The staff engaged in rock climbing and descending from the mountains with cables, as well as evacuating the injured from the rocks in extreme conditions. Special Forces units performed tasks of surprise engagement with the enemy deep in the enemy, in snowy and forested areas and in difficult terrain far from the enemy. "In the course of tactical and special exercises, search operations, providing first aid, and evacuating victims and missing persons due to avalanches in snowy areas were carried out," the media quoted.
