Ban on export of Colombian coal to Israel

Colombian President Gustavo Petro has banned coal exports to the Israeli regime in an attempt to pressure the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end the conflict in Gaza.

According to the RPR news agency, this decree published on the presidential website is dated August 14.

Following the severing of diplomatic relations with the Zionist regime due to the incessant attacks on Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip, the regime's ambassador, Gali Dagan, left Colombia.

Colombia's ambassador to occupied Palestine, Margareta Mangares, left Tel Aviv at the end of June, ending her diplomatic mission.

This severing of diplomatic relations came after Colombian President Gustavo Petro announced in his speech on the occasion of May 1, International Workers' Day, that this country was taking this action in response to the Zionist regime's ongoing war against the Gaza Strip. With this in mind, the country cut off diplomatic relations.

In recent months, the Colombian president has harshly criticized the Zionist regime's genocide in the Gaza Strip and asked the International Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
