Brazil-Bolsonaro, 'we will not oppose the new fiscal framework'
The former Brazilian president, Jair Bolsonaro, has guaranteed that his Liberal Party (PL, right), which has the majority of seats in Congress, will support the project of a new fiscal framework promoted by the government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva . "Brazil's problems concern everyone. The Pl is a large party, with 99 parliamentarians, and we will not create a radical opposition. We want to collaborate so that Brazil does not fail, does not sink", said the former head of state, guaranteeing that "we will help even though we don't sympathize with the government." Two days ago the Chamber of Deputies approved with 367 votes in favor and 102 against the urgent vote of the new fiscal framework next week. The project will be discussed in the plenary without the need to go through the thematic commissions. Considered the main initiative sent by the government to parliament, the so-called fiscal 'arcabouço' was drawn up by Finance Minister Fernando Haddad, who highlighted the "victory" achieved by the executive with the help of a broad spectrum of parties, including those of opposition.
