The British representative criticized the Zionist regime's brutal attacks in Syria and emphasized that the regime's impunity in the Gaza war has emboldened Tel Aviv.
The representative of the East Leeds district, Richard Bergen, who recently presented a plan to impose sanctions on the Zionist regime to the British Parliament, published a message on the social network "X", and wrote: "When Israel does not face any consequences for its repeated war crimes in the Gaza Strip, it becomes more emboldened, and the entry of Israeli forces into Syrian territory even beyond the occupied Golan Heights is an example of this."
Bergen added that sanctions are necessary to force the criminal Israeli regime to adhere to international principles and rules. Taking advantage of the instability in Syria, the Israeli occupation regime has targeted numerous military equipment, bases, and fighter jets in this country.
Zionist officials claim that these attacks are aimed at preventing so-called extremist forces from acquiring strategic weapons, but Western countries, Syria's neighbors, and the UN have demanded an end to these attacks.
