New package of American weapons is on its way to Ukraine

The US Secretary of State announced the allocation of a new $500 million arms package to Ukraine. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced today (Friday) a new military aid package worth $500 million to Ukraine, adding that this new package of weapons includes ammunition.

Artillery ammunition, ammunition for anti-drone systems, ammunition for the Himars missile system, as well as protective equipment against chemical, biological and nuclear threats.

Earlier, the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) decided on December 2 to provide Ukraine with a military aid package worth $725 million, including air defense systems and Himars drones, mines, etc.

Since the start of the Russo-Ukrainian war in February 2022, the United States has provided more than $62 billion in military assistance to Ukraine. The war in Ukraine began after the West ignored Moscow's security concerns about the expansion of the NATO military alliance (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) to Russia's borders.

In the Russo-Ukrainian war, instead of focusing on diplomatic and peaceful solutions, Western countries have continued to take escalating measures, including sending military aid to Kiev, and have escalated and prolonged this war.
