Call by the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council has once again called for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the sending of humanitarian aid and aid to the people of the war-torn region.
According to Al Jazeera TV, Jassem al-Badawi told a joint meeting of members of this council and representatives of Morocco, Jordan and Egypt on Sunday, emphasizing the need to support the Palestinian nation, that the crimes of the Zionist regime related to the attack on the Gaza Strip must be terminated immediately.
The UN Security Council also issued a statement expressing concern about ongoing attacks by the Zionist regime, particularly the attack on a gathering of Palestinian civilians at a humanitarian aid distribution point in the northern Gaza Strip, and called for increased aid to the Gaza Strip, support for Palestinian civilians and protection of the Strip's infrastructure Gaza.
