Campaign of American churches calls for an end to the Israeli apartheid system

About 100 congregations, religious groups and American organizations have launched the campaign "Communities Free from Apartheid", with the aim of ending the crime of Apartheid committed by the Zionist regime against the Palestinians. Infopal reports it.

The campaign's founding statement said it was inspired by the anti-apartheid movement that toppled the apartheid regime in South Africa. The campaign called for building “Apartheid-free societies within societies of faith and conscience, moving away from any support for Israeli apartheid, occupation and colonialism […]”.

“For decades, the Palestinian people have faced Israeli occupation and systematic human rights violations, which constitute Apartheid,” the statement said. The campaign is open to individuals and companies who agree to pledge to dismantle apartheid. A similar campaign was launched in Canada in July last year to educate and enable Canadians to participate in efforts to end the oppression of the Palestinian people.
