The Russian company “Rosatom” performed the process of casting the “first concrete” in the concrete slab of the third group of the Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant in Egypt. The first concrete pouring ceremony took place on March 29, after the release of the permit for the construction of the third group of the Dabaa nuclear power plant by the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority.

In his address to the audience, Dr. Amjad Al-Wakeel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nuclear Power Plant Authority, spoke about the success of the Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant project, saying, “Today's ceremony reflects the results from by the joint and continuous efforts of the work teams. Many of the project's major phases were completed in the past year, including the casting of the first concrete for the first and second groups and the delivery of the main trap to the first group.

The project is progressing according to the agreed schedule and we are here to witness the first concrete casting for the third group thanks to the dedication of the teams who have worked towards this common goal”. On March 29, 2023, the Egyptian Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Authority issued a construction permit for the third group of El-Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant, which allowed the concrete pouring works to begin.
