China, Jinping from 20 to 22 March in Russia on a state visit at Putin's invitation

MOSCOW - The Kremlin's press service has announced that Chinese President Xi Jinping will travel to Russia on the 20th for a two-day visit at the invitation of his counterpart Vladimir Putin. "At the talks, topical issues on the further development of global partnership relations and strategic interaction between Russia and China will be discussed," the statement reads. During Xi Jinping's visit to Russia, an exchange of views with Putin is expected on the deepening of cooperation between Moscow and Beijing in the international arena. As a result of the talks, a number of important bilateral documents will be signed, the Kremlin stressed. This trip by Xi will be the first overseas trip in his new presidential term.
