The head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, declaring his country's readiness to cooperate with the international community to resolve the Ukrainian crisis, stressed that the conflict should be resolved at the negotiating table.Qin Gang said on Thursday, "Beijing is ready to work with the international community, including the Central Asian states, to reach a 'common denominator' to resolve the Ukrainian crisis," TASS reported.
 
Speaking at a meeting of foreign ministers of the five Central Asian states, he added: "No matter how complex the conflict is, it should be resolved only politically."Qin Gang further recalled: "Historical background and complex real reasons led to the development of the Ukrainian crisis to the current stage."
 
On Wednesday, for the first time since the start of the war in Ukraine, Chinese President Xi Jinping, in a telephone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, stressed the need to end the war through political dialogue.
 
He noted that China is ready to help resolve the conflict in Ukraine through negotiations.From April 26 to 27, a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of China and five Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) was held in China, at which important international and regional issues were discussed.
