The Democratic Majority Leader in the US Senate warned against the possibility of China dominating the US. According to an AFP report, Chuck Schumer remarked at a meeting of his party colleagues on Wednesday: “The important thing is that the time is not in our favor, Beijing is trying to overtake America day by day. ".He added, “There is no reason why the two parties, the Democratic and the Republican, cannot meet here in Congress and the Senate and send a strong signal to the Chinese government that we are united in this urgent national security and that we are committed to keeping America in the lead.” Schumer's comment came after he and his colleagues announced on Wednesday that they plan to prepare a bipartisan comprehensive plan to bolster US economic competitiveness against China.
