Czechs protest against high fuel and food prices
Thousands of Czechs took to the streets of Prague, demanding that the government solve the problem of inflation and high prices for fuel and food. The European economy has fallen into a critical situation after the coronavirus epidemic and the war between Russia and Ukraine, and most of the countries on this continent are faced with rising inflation and fuel prices, which put a lot of pressure on people.
According to AAA, on Saturday, thousands of Czech residents took to the streets of Prague and chanted slogans against the country's government. Note that the demonstration was organized by the Law and Justice party. Last year, the Czech Republic's Law and Justice Party broke away from the conservative party led by the current prime minister, Petr Fiala, under the slogan "Czech Republic Against Poverty".
Many demonstrators shouted anti-government slogans and demanded that the authorities control the high inflation and rising cost of living in the country. Also, the people, chanting slogans, demand the resignation of the current government. According to representatives of the Law and Justice party, the purpose of the demonstration is to convey to the government the voice of the people about the worsening crisis in the cost of living, as the people suffer from rising fuel and food prices.
