CNN quoted statements by several US officials, after the death of three of the country's soldiers in a drone attack in Jordan, saying that an attack on Iran was the least likely option. The US National Security Council's Strategic Communications Coordinator, John Kirby, told CNN, "We don't want to go to war with Iran. We don't want to expand the conflict in the Middle East." He added, "In fact all the actions taken by the President of the United States, were intended to de-escalate, to reduce tensions." CNN also quoted several sources, explaining that to date there has been no evidence whatsoever to suggest Iran's direct involvement in the attack on the US base in Jordan. Apart from that, he added, no evidence was found to suggest that Iran was deliberately creating tensions with the United States. A US official, told CNN, "I don't think that the attack on the US military base, in Jordan, was intended to create tension." On the other hand, a former US military official said, "Whatever messages you find, contain words that indicate Joe Biden's fear and concern over the new tensions."

Three days have passed since the drone attack on the American base known as Tower 22 near the Jordanian and Syrian borders, which killed 3 soldiers and injured 34 American soldiers, Biden administration officials spoke about their reluctance to get involved in conflict and war with Iran. “We don't want to go to war with Iran. We are not seeking conflict with the government of Tehran...,” John Kirby, Strategic Communications Coordinator for the White House National Security Council, told reporters in Washington on Monday. This White House spokesman said, We don't want another war. We are not looking for escalation. But we will definitely do what is necessary to protect ourselves. John Kirby, White House National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator The Biden administration's position is in line with the position of other senior American military officials, including General Charles Brown, Chief of Staff of the United States Military. In his statement, he announced that America does not want to go to war with Iran, and that if a broader conflict breaks out, we will respond. Responding to criticism that the Biden administration is not serious enough about Iran and its so-called proxy groups, the senior American military official said, "  Our goal is to deter and at the same time protect American troops, not engage in large-scale conflict and full-scale war."

CNN: Attacking Iran, Least Possible for US Sabrina Singh, Deputy Spokesperson for the US Department of Defense also stated on Monday that the US has not reached a final conclusion regarding which group carried out the deadly attack on this country's troops in Jordan, and there is no information whether this attack was carried out on Iran's orders. This Pentagon position shows that America has no convincing evidence of a possible Iranian connection to the attack on the American base at Tower 22. The New York Times quoted an American intelligence official as saying,  Although Iran provides weapons, financial resources, and sometimes information, there is no evidence of the country's decision to know of the attacks (on American bases on the Jordanian and Syrian borders). Despite this, US President Joe Biden faces growing domestic pressure to respond decisively to the attacks. President Joe Biden faces growing pressure to confront Iran head-on, which would lead to the broader regional conflict he wants to avoid, Bloomberg wrote in a report.

The important issue is that, despite the efforts of American Republican politicians, who after the recent drone attacks on American military bases, constantly emphasized the need to respond to Iran as the main factor behind these attacks and even talked about the need to bomb Iran. Even though Tehran has repeatedly denied playing a role in this area and at the same time emphasized the need to change Washington's policy towards this region, especially regarding the Zionist regime and its comprehensive military and political support for this regime during the Gaza war which was the main reason for the attacks on American troops in West Asia. Three days have passed since the drone attack on the American base known as Tower 22 near the Jordanian and Syrian borders, which killed 3 soldiers and injured 34 American soldiers, Biden administration officials spoke about their reluctance to get involved in conflict and war with Iran. In his letter to the President of the Security Council, Amir Saeed Iravani, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Iran to the UN, emphasized that the  Islamic Republic of Iran is not responsible for the actions of any individual or group in the region. Considering that the fourth month of the Zionist regime's war against the Gaza Strip has passed, America continues to support the Zionist regime. With the start of the Gaza war, resistance movements in the region have targeted US military bases in the region. Resistance groups in the region, including in Iraq, have repeatedly announced that their attacks on American bases in Iraq and Syria are a response to Washington's major support for Tel Aviv. These groups have repeatedly emphasized that these attacks will continue until American policy changes in this area and forces the Zionist regime to stop its attacks on the Gaza Strip and its genocide against Palestinians.
