Several Palestinian babies have died due to extreme cold in tents of displaced persons in Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip.
According to the AP network, Palestinian media reported that at least six Palestinian children have died in the Gaza Strip due to extreme cold and lack of heating equipment over the past week. Philip Lazzarini, head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), said earlier that children in Gaza are dying due to extreme cold and frostbite due to lack of shelter.
He added that a shipment of blankets and other winter essentials has been waiting for months for Israel to allow entry into the Gaza Strip, so there is an urgent need to establish a ceasefire and allow essential and necessary aid into the Gaza Strip.
According to Lazzarini, it is now more than ever necessary to provide the Gaza Strip with winter gear.
The Israeli regime's crimes against the Gaza Strip continue for the sixteenth month in a row, and the International Criminal Court has ordered the arrest of Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Galant, the current Prime Minister and the ousted Minister of War of the Zionist regime, on charges of war crimes, crimes against humanity and the use of starvation as a weapon against the people of Gaza.
