Cuba officially joins the case of South Africa against Israel ICJ
Cuba has announced to send a request to join South Africa's case in the International Court of Justice (ICJ), against the Zionist regime of Israel that commits crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba has said in a statement yesterday that Havana will officially join the case of South Africa against the Israeli regime, due to the Zionist regime intensifying its attacks against the people of Gaza.
The statement emphasized that: Nothing can justify the gross violation of human rights and the trampling of international law by the Israeli regime against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Cuba has now joined other countries such as Nicaragua, Colombia, Libya, Maldives, Egypt, Ireland, Belgium, Turkey, and Chile that have officially announced to join South Africa's charges against Israel in the ICJ.
Also in January of this year, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, said at a meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Kampala, Uganda that: Havana supports the case presented by South Africa in the Hague about Israel's genocide against the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip.
Cubans have been protesting regularly to condemn Israel's crimes against the Palestinians, while showing support for the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip. In addition, President Miguel Diaz-Canel of the country has been quoted several times insisting that the killings carried out by the Zionist regime against the defenseless people of Gaza is a real and true 'Holocaust'.
