As a result, 84 people were martyred and 284 were injured. In this regard, the terrorist group Daesh (ISIS) claimed responsibility for the crime in Kerman, releasing a statement on Thursday.

Hossein Ibrahim Taha, secretary general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in a separate statement condemned the crime in Kerman, which targeted Iranian civilians and resulted in the martyrdom and injury of a large number of Iranian citizens. At the same time, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyyed Ibrahim Raisi, on Thursday, in a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Turkmenistan, Sardar Berdimuhammedov, emphasized that he would decisively fight the “think tanks” that planned this terrorist crime, and all those whose dirty hands were involved in the terrorist attack. In turn, Sardar Berdimuhammedov, condemning the inhumane crime at the Martyrs' Cemetery in Kerman, expressed condolences in connection with the martyrdom of Iranian citizens on behalf of the government and people of Turkmenistan, as well as the national leader and head of the People's Liberation Council of this country to the government and people of Iran, especially families of the victims. Continuing this conversation, Raisi pointed to the failure of the Zionists to achieve their stated goals in attacking the Gaza Strip and the global protests against the criminal acts of this regime and added: “Historical experience has proven that such terrorist acts not only do not benefit the organizers and sponsors of terrorism, but all are revealing more and more the criminal essence of this regime and its supporters in the eyes of people all over the world.”
