In 2022, the Danish lower court sentenced the three men to prison terms of six, seven and eight years respectively. On the other hand, the court of The Eastern High Court has also passed the sentence issued in February last year against the three people for the crime of collecting funds to finance terrorist attacks by receiving 5 million kroner which is equal to two million and two hundred thousand dollars. and made efforts to get another 15 million kroner from Saudi Arabia for the group that wants to separate. Before that, that is last Tuesday, the Court of Appeal of Denmark or The Eastern High Court" approved the sentence given by the first court regarding the three suspected members of the Al Ahwaziya terrorist group for spreading terrorism and spying on Saudi Arabia. The court has announced that The three people were involved in collecting information about various individuals and institutions in Denmark and abroad, including gathering intelligence information about Iran's military affairs and then providing that information to Saudi intelligence agencies. Danish law, the punishment for these people was at least 12 years in prison. The Eastern High Court of Copenhagen decided that the three members of the Al Ahwaziya group should be deported to Denmark. The three people will serve their sentences in Danish prisons, but it is not yet known when they will be expelled from the country. Court of Appeal or Eastern High Court of Copenhagen As noted by Finn Borch Andersen, the head of the Danish Intelligence Department, these three people have been spying for Saudi Arabia since 2012. The people who are said to be members of the Al Ahwaziya group, whose names have not been mentioned, were arrested in February 2020 in the city of Ringsted. 60 km southwest of Copenhagen. The suspicions they faced about spreading terrorism were confirmed after the September 22, 2018 terrorist attack against an army parade in Ahwaz, southern Iran. The Al Ahwaziya terrorist group in recent years has carried out many terrorist attacks with the aim of creating chaos and anarchy in the Khuzistan region in the south of Iran; and it wants to prepare the environment for the separation of Khuzistan from Iran through the means of destabilizing the security situation; a step that the regime of the former dictator of Iraq, Saddam Hussein, did everything possible to achieve by launching attacks against Iran but it hit a rock. This group has been involved in many bombings including attacks on the office of the governor of Ahwaz, blowing up wells and oil institutions. One of the most serious crimes committed by the Al Ahwaziya terrorist group is the attack carried out by its members during the parade of the Iranian Defense Forces in Ahwaz, September 22, 2018, where at least 25 people, civilians and soldiers, were martyred and around 70 others were injured by the shelling. After the attack, al Ahwaziya group openly announced on al Arabiyya television owned by Saudi Arabia that it was responsible for the attack in Ahwaz. The Saudi television did not call the attack in Ahwaz in Iran a terrorist attack but called it an attack by "armed" people. The European countries that have given asylum to the leaders and members of the group, namely Denmark, Sweden and the Netherlands, did not at all condemn the terrorist attack or take steps to arrest the leaders and members of the terrorist group. The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly complained about the matter where Bahram Qassimi, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran at the time said that: "It is unacceptable to see that the European Union does not name such gangs as terrorists even though they have not carried out terrorist operations in European lands." Terrorist attack in Ahwaz region in 2018 However, European countries decided to arrest and prosecute members of the Ahwaziya group after the issue of national security was raised in some European countries such as Denmark, following members of the group spying for the benefit of Saudi Arabia. Although the issue of terrorism has become a major problem for most of the countries in recent years, but European countries have taken positions and measures of duplicity in confronting this evil problem. A clear example is the hypocritical and duplicitous actions of European countries in dealing with the Al Ahwaziya terrorist group; which has carried out many terrorist attacks in Iran. European countries remain silent and ignore when this terrorist group carries out terrorist attacks against the Islamic Republic of Iran and allow the group's attacks to continue without any hindrance. However, they take action when the actions and actions of the Al Ahwaziya group violate and go against the interests, benefits and national security of those countries. In that context, the long-term support of some European countries, especially France, to the MKO terrorist group has tarnished the image of those countries due to their act of giving an empire to terrorism as the only reason for the group's opposition to Islamic Republic of Iran. This is despite the fact that the governments of European countries are fully aware of the great crimes committed by the group against the people of Iran and Iraq, but still the MKO group continues to be openly and secretly supported by Paris in its various movements, events and meetings.
