Egypt denies the allegations made by the commander of the Rapid Support Force (RSF) in Sudan, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti), that the country is participating in airstrikes against his forces in the Jabal Muya area in Sennar state, central Sudan . The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt has said in its statement published on social networks this evening, that the Egyptian army is not participating in the ongoing war in Sudan, and called on the international community to request evidence to confirm the claims made by General Hamdan Dagalo. Hemedti has accused Egypt of taking part in airstrikes against RSF forces in the Jabal Muya region, and said that its forces have been "killed and attacked by stealth by Egyptian warplanes." Hemedti has also accused Cairo of providing training to the Sudanese army and supplying it with drones while the war continues in Sudan between the government army and the Rapid Support Forces rebels. Last Saturday, the Sudanese army announced that it had liberated the Jabal Muya area in Sennar State, after heavy fighting that continued for several days.
