Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of being responsible for the escalation of tensions in the Middle East.
Speaking about Israel's clash with Iran, Erdogan said the Israelis are trying to spread the conflict throughout the Middle East region through successive provocations.
"Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the leadership of Israel are solely responsible for the recent escalation of tensions in the Middle East and the attack launched by Iran. Israel is trying to spread the conflict in the region through provocations," Erdogan said.
Speaking at the presidential compound after a cabinet meeting in the capital Ankara, Erdogan said new tensions could be expected in the region until the crackdown and genocide in Gaza ends.
At the end of his speech, he criticized the Western countries, saying that they failed to condemn the provocative acts by Israel, which is trying to destabilize the region.
