EU, recommendations on 2024 budgets
The budgetary policies of the EU states in 2024 will have to guarantee medium-term debt sustainability and promote sustainable and inclusive growth. Thus the guidelines of the Commission for the budgets of the EU countries, after the stop clause of the Stability Pact will be deactivated at the end of the year. In May, the Commission will give recommendations to countries so that the objectives of their programs "are consistent with the obligation to ensure that the public debt/GDP is started on a path of reduction or at prudent levels".
