The Head of Foreign Policy of the European Union, Josep Borrell has asked EU foreign ministers to consider sanctions against Israeli ministers.

Borrell told reporters yesterday that he will instruct the foreign ministers of the union to consider sanctions against Israeli ministers, who have been issuing and distributing "unacceptable hate messages against the Palestinians."

The high-ranking diplomat of the European Union has called on the EU member states to impose sanctions on some Israeli ministers who have been "proposing things that go against international law" stressing that this action is fueling the fire of "committing war crimes."

The genocide that continues for the 11th month now in Gaza, which has led to the martyrdom of more than 40,000 people and injured more than 95,000 others, has not witnessed the taking of effective and meaningful measures by the international community, especially the United Nations and the European Union.

Attacks and sanctions against the Gaza Strip have caused severe shortages of food, clean water and medicine, leaving much of the besieged area in ruins.

Israel faces charges of genocide at the International Court of Justice, which has ordered a halt to military operations in the southern city of Rafah, where more than a million Palestinians had sought refuge before the area was invaded on May 6.
