Europe's loss of 185 billion euros due to the Russian gas embargo

Data published by the Statistical Office of the European Union (Eurostat) shows that the Union  lost around 185 billion euros on natural gas purchases between February 2022 and 20 months later due to sanctions imposed on Russia. With the outbreak of war in Ukraine, the European Union imposed heavy sanctions against Russia and reduced the purchase of natural gas from Russia. Statistics published by Eurostat show that, following this action, Brussels was forced to find alternative options to meet its gas needs; Options that cost the European Union 185 billion euros in 20 months.

The capital of Ukraine, Kiev is subjected to a massive drone attack by Russia with alarm raised in all regions.
