France hypocritically holds conference in support of Gaza
Just over a month after the start of the Gaza war, France organized an international conference to provide assistance to the civilian population of the Gaza Strip. Paris convened such a conference, although in recent weeks, in line with US and British policy, France has also vetoed a Russian-proposed ceasefire resolution in the Gaza Strip, clearly stating that Israeli military action in the Gaza Strip is the legitimate right of the Zionist regime for self-defense. According to the Elysee Palace, the meeting with representatives of states and humanitarian organizations in Paris is intended to advocate for respect for international law in the coastal strip and expanded humanitarian access. Aid intended to provide water, health care, energy and food must be able to reach people. New financial commitments to support the people of Gaza are expected at the conference. France has already voiced the prospects for this.
