Palestinian resistance groups in the Gaza Strip say a ceasefire deal has been reached with Israel to end five days of the regime's ruthless assault on the coastal strip. The ceasefire, brokered by Egypt, has entered into effect at 22:00 local time (1900 GMT) to end Israeli aggression on the besieged territory, which has claimed the lives of more than 30 Palestinian civilians, including women and children. Palestinian Islamic Jihad confirmed the truce with the spokesman for the Dawoud Shehab group, saying, "We declare our acceptance of the Egyptian announcement and will respect it as long as the occupation respects it." According to Palestinian media, six children and three women were among the victims of the latest Israeli aggression against Gaza , which left another 150 people injured, most of them women and children as well. Palestinian casualties included six Islamic Jihad commanders. A total of 51 Palestinian homes were completely destroyed, while 1,000 homes were partially damaged. About 50 Palestinian homes have been rendered uninhabitable. Zionist regime forces today bombed a house in Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip. According to the Palestinian agency "Al Ray" a missile hit the building located in a residential area. Zionist forces say they are warning residents to clear the area before shelling. At the moment there are no reports of victims or injured.
