The German and Iranian Foreign Ministers, on that occasion, highlighted the continuing killing of civilians, women and children in Gaza and the West Bank, and the urgency of the international community's attention to this important issue related to human rights. The Iranian Foreign Minister condemned the genocide in Gaza, and touching on the roots of the crisis, he assessed that the political mechanism was a UN referendum, which was held among native Palestinians, whether Muslims, Christians or Jews. On the other hand, the German Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of efforts to prevent the expansion of the crisis area and said that a solution to the Gaza crisis was only possible through political mechanisms. Berbock, also emphasized the importance of paying attention to the principles of international human rights law. "Germany is asking for help from the Islamic Republic of Iran to reduce the escalation of tensions in the West Asia region," he added. In this telephone contact, the two Foreign Ministers also agreed to maintain dialogue channels in order to help strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
