Hamas has an ambitious defense plan in the war with Israel
A high-level official of the Islamic Struggle Movement (Muqawama) of Palestine, Hamas, has said that the movement to fight for the liberation of Palestine based in Gaza has prepared a major defensive plan in response to Israeli attacks, and emphasized that unity between the groups of the standoff during Operation Al-Aqsa Storm surprised Israeli military commanders. Ali Baraka, the head of Hamas's National Relations Abroad, told the Lebanese al-Ahed news website that: "We are confident that we will emerge victorious in this war. We assure our Palestinian colleagues that the struggle has the necessary strength to free all Palestinian prisoners ." He added that the Israeli army has failed to achieve any success in the land war against the Gaza Strip. Baraka has pointed out that the violent Israeli regime launched ground attacks in Gaza after its security departments were shocked in the Al-Aqsa Hurricane Operation.
He said that until now Israel has not been able to achieve any of the goals it announced, which included the destruction of Hamas, the release of all its prisoners and the expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza. Elsewhere, a senior Hamas official said that Israel's illegal regime "is sinking deeper and deeper into the Gaza swamp", stressing that the violent regime has failed to win a single victory after 60 days of war in the besieged area. Osama Hamdan Osama Hamdan, the senior representative of Hamas in Lebanon, said this at a press conference in the capital Beirut on Tuesday, noting that Hamas is "well prepared" to fight no matter how long the Israeli war lasts. Hamdan also praised the fighters of al-Qassam Brigades, the military branch of Hamas, who defend the rights of the Palestinian people and their land, saying "they always cause the enemy to suffer injuries and losses and make Gaza a graveyard for invaders."
