Hamas Reacts to Trump's Threatening Message

The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) responded to the newly elected US president's threatening message regarding Israeli captives in the Gaza Strip by stressing that Donald Trump would be better off directing his message to Netanyahu.

On December 2, Trump threatened on his social network Truth Social that if the Israeli captives (hostages) are not released before his inauguration ceremony on January 20, 2025, “the gates of hell will open up throughout the Middle East (West Asia) for those who committed these crimes against humanity.”

In turn, Bassem Naim, a member of the political office of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said that Donald Trump’s message should be addressed to Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, because he and the far-right Israeli cabinet are blocking the ceasefire agreement.

Naim added that Netanyahu and his cabinet should stop their evil game of using the negotiations as a cover for their personal ideological political interests.

The Hamas spokesman stressed that since the beginning of the genocide of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, Hamas has been actively trying to achieve a permanent ceasefire and an agreement on the exchange of prisoners, but the Zionist regime cabinet has prevented the resistance forces from fulfilling this demand.

The families of the Israeli prisoners also want Benjamin Netanyahu to release the resistance prisoners in an agreement with the Palestinian resistance and to stop the useless attacks on the Gaza Strip, which, in addition to killing Palestinians, also result in the deaths of Israeli prisoners.
