Previously, the International Court of Justice described the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, including the city of Rafah, as very dire and stressed that the Zionist regime must fully comply with its obligations based on the Convention on the Prohibition of Genocide and previous verdicts issued by this Court in support of the Palestinian civilian population in the Gaza Strip . The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS) stressed in its statement that the International Court of Justice must issue a direct and clear order to stop the brutal aggression of the genocidal Israeli regime against the defenseless civilian population in the Gaza Strip. Welcoming the previous decision of the International Court of Justice against the Zionist regime, in which it asked the regime to comply with its obligations based on the agreement on genocide and massacres, Hamas added that since the decision of the International Court of Justice against the Zionist regime, more than 28 thousand Palestinians have been martyred, which shows the Israeli regime's disregard for the international justice system.

Hamas also asked the UN Security Council to take responsibility for the crimes committed by the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip and prevent the humanitarian disaster from spreading to the densely populated city of Rafah. Let us recall that South Africa recently filed an urgent claim at the International Criminal Court against the Zionist regime in connection with its attack on Rafah. On the other hand, Zionist regime attacks on Rafah continue and seven Palestinians were killed when Zionist regime forces attacked a house in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, on Thursday. On December 29, South Africa filed its first complaint against Israel at the International Court of Justice, accusing the Zionist regime of violating the 1948 Genocide Convention during its military operations in the Gaza Strip. On January 26, the International Court of Justice announced the suspension of the Zionist regime's military activities in the Gaza Strip and demanded that it take measures to prevent genocide.
